For one night only, internationally acclaimed soprano, Celine Byrne takes to the stage in the intimate setting of the Pavilion Theatre for what promises to be an evening of musical delight. This special concert is being held to mark the 10th anniversary of APT (Act to Prevent Trafficking), an organisation working to end the trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation.
An estimated 21 million people around the world are victims of human trafficking. The vast majority of victims in Ireland are trafficked into the sex industry for forced prostitution. APT works to raise awareness of this dreadful crime and lobbies for effective legislation to end the trafficking of human beings.
In celebration of APT’s 10th anniversary, Celine Byrne and special guests will perform an elegant repertoire featuring favourite Irish songs in addition to well-known arias from the world of Opera and Operetta, with proceeds going to support this important work. This is a unique event not to be missed
